Hitting our stride: forward momentum in the UK market
4min Read

2023 is set to be an exciting year for Silverfin in the UK. With an expanded team and new product capabilities, we’re on track to accelerate growth and deliver even more value to our customers.

A lot’s happened in the short time since November 2022, when I relocated to the UK to join Silverfin’s leadership team and help drive its market-focused approach. Among the key milestones this year: we’ve welcomed new members into the UK team, we’ve relocated to exciting new offices in Shoreditch, and we’re gearing up for a couple of high-profile events on the accountancy calendar. On top of that, Silverfin has launched a powerful new product, Corporation Tax.

It feels like I came on board at a pivotal moment in Silverfin’s growth and product maturity journey. As the company approaches its 10th birthday, it’s worth taking a moment to reflect on how much has already been achieved. More than 800 leading accountancy firms in 13 countries rely on the Silverfin cloud platform to make their compliance services more efficient, competitive and profitable. Our product offering in the UK has now been expanded with the launch of Silverfin Corporation Tax, adding to existing Working Papers, Accounts Production and Management Accounts capabilities (more on this below).

What I’m also seeing is that the Silverfin platform is helping our customers to develop and deliver advisory services to their clients. Clearly, Silverfin gives them more time for this value-added work by simplifying data-handling and automating routine tasks. What’s more, it provides them with an overview of data and trends across their client portfolios that they’ve never had before. We know that becoming trusted partners to their clients is a key strategy for forward-looking accountancy firms, and we’re here to help them do that.

New: Corporation Tax

We recently launched our Corporation Tax module which helps accountants complete client CT600s faster by working in a single connected environment. Silverfin customer, Hurst, joined us live on a webinar to talk their experiences of being a beta testers. You can watch a recording of this webinar here.

Needless to say, we’ve got more developments in the pipeline to help our customers advance their business and deliver even more value to their clients. We’ll keep you updated as we launch new features and enhancements over the coming months.

Introducing our new UK team members

Vicky Nicholls and Kyle Hughes joined us in February to further strengthen our brilliant UK team.

Vicky brings her natural enthusiasm, marketing savvy and SaaS company experience to her leadership of our UK marketing efforts. “I’m excited to be part of the team that’s helping to communicate the Silverfin product’s extraordinary depth and range of capabilities during this exciting period of growth,” says Vicky.

Account executive Kyle is known for the energy he puts into building relationships with customers and his readiness to listen to what they want to achieve. “The Silverfin product is powerful, and the team is brimming with talent. I’m loving the buzz of being back in the SaaS world, and I’m looking forward to onboarding some new high-growth customers,” says Kyle.

Our new London location

As well as expanding our UK team, we’ve taken a meaningful step forward by moving to new offices in London’s Shoreditch district. The space we’ve chosen is a great fit for our company culture, and offers an environment where our people can really flourish. If you’re in the area, feel free to call in and say hi.

Meet us at industry events in June and July

We recently exhibited at Accountex London and it was amazing to catch up with so many customers and industry leaders. We also hosted our Silverfin Social the night before the event, where we invited Belgium and UK accountants to network over some drinks and food.

If you didn’t have the chance to meet us at Accountex this month, then we’ll be at the Digital Accountancy Show, 15 June — the world’s leading accountancy technology event being held at Evolution London in Battersea Park.

Another big date in the diary is  the >Loving You Bristol : THE Fintech/Accountech “Don’t call it a meet up”, hosted by Richard Sergeant, a few South West based Silverfinners will be there.

A bright future

With the comprehensive functionality of our cloud platform and further product innovations planned, it’s an exciting time to be at Silverfin. Our accomplished UK team is ready to push ahead with our ambitious growth agenda and help ensure we keep making a real difference to our customers.
